An accomplished educator who has presented my teaching pedagogy at national conferences, I have excelled at both the high school and college levels for nearly 20 years. My courses enhance reading and writing abilities, develop creative and critical thinking, and encourage collaboration. I provide high high-quality instruction to students of wide-raging backgrounds and academic abilities. I bridge new learning and texts into existing knowledge, interests, and life experiences; address multiple academic abilities and a variety of learning styles; and utilize technology and cosmopolitan literacy styles for heuristic, community-building, and differentiated instructional purposes. My extraordinary teaching style allows me to deftly respond to the needs of any particular classroom, identify students who are struggling, and, if needed, change the way the class is presented in order to make it more enriching and enjoyable to all pupils. My subject expertise and personal publications enable me to convey a passion and relevancy to my material that inspires a love of learning and literature.
